There was an article today from Gordon Edes of ESPN Boston reported that there are rumblings that the Sox would be willing to trade either Manny Delcarmen or Ramon Ramirez if the opportunity came up.  It's clear that the Sox need some bullpen help this year...however, many of the big names out there have way too high an asking price.

My thoughts on this trade rumor?  Hmm, not sure....especially given the performance of the media shy Hideki Okajima last night.  Sure, neither MDC and RamRam haven't been lights out this season...but in comparison, I would much prefer they come out of the pen than Oki.  Other than the time period when MDC was hurt, he's actually been a lot more consistent than his reputation indicates.  And RamRam is either pretty decent or a nightmare, however I still think he has the skills to help us out down the stretch.

So we keep Oki...but consider trading MDC or RamRam?  Hmm.  I'm no Theo Epstein, but that isn't the direction I would be going in.  What are people's thoughts....who do YOU think is the person in the bullpen who you would like to see no longer wearing a Sox uni come trade deadline time???

And RamRam...I wanna see that guy who was just blowing it up last season, but he just seems no where in sight. With Mike Bowden down in Pawtucket...and some decent relievers out there on the market, Oki, RamRam and MDC can't just take a spot to take a spot forever. It'll be interesting to see how it all goes down.
