Early News From the Winter Meetings

The Golden Era committee did not select Luis Taint for the Hall of Fame, he received only two of the necessary twelve votes to get selected.

The Red Sox are checking in on Josh Willingham but are focused on re-signing David Ortiz.

Francisco Cordero may be willing to sign a one-year deal, which the Red Sox would likely jump on.

There is not much of a market for Roy Oswalt as most teams are looking at Mark Buehrle and C.J. Wilson as their first choice for a starter.  Once they sign the market for Oswalt should get hotter.

Michael Cuddyer will likely stay re-sign with the Twins.
