During this post season when the Red Sox weren't playing...I have had more than a few people ask me who my NL team is. The quick and dirty answer is...I don't have one. I've always been Red Sox all the time.

Those same people though...tell me that even though no team will own my heart like the Red Sox, that having a NL team is something most fans do. I have been thinking about who should be my NL team...and honestly, I am stumped (mainly because none of those teams are the Red Sox).

Do all y'all have NL teams?? And if so..who are they and how did you choose them? Give me a shout out on who your NL team is and why...and who knows, maybe they could become my NL team.

I was gonna be a complete bandwagon fan and have the Phils as my NL team if they beat those gosh darn Yanks, but alas...they were not able to get it done. I am considering the Mets since I am a NYer and all. I know...they are not so good, but well...I am a Bulls fan, so I know something something about following a team that sucks. The Cards is also a team I like, but am annoying that they take our broken players and turn them into some kind of gold. Plus...Lugo...I can't support another team with Lugo on it. Pujols is a god, but Lugo.

So...what is your NL team? And should it be Shelley's NL team??

I root for the Giants in the NL. Being out here in the Bay Area I go to about 5-6 Giants games a year. They have a great stadium and I usually get some free tickets.

If you are going to pick an NL team I highly suggest you pick a West Coast team so that you can view their games after the Sox game is over. Though I must admit this is much easier when the late game stars at 7pm not 10pm like on the East Coast.

Growing up about 40 miles southwest of Boston, the Red Sox of course were my team. Got hooked in '67, if not sooner. But as a 9 yo kid, and I don't know why, I had a thing for the SF Giants for my NL team. The nearest NL team was the Mets and they didn't go anywhere until '69, and by that time I was already rootin' for the Giants. Fast forward to 2009 and I find myself having lived in their back yard for nearly 25 years.

Being in Atlanta, I'm a Braves fan by geography. I've since become an *actual* Braves fan, and I go to a good amount of games during the season- they have a sweet 2-for-1 college student thing sometimes. I don't hold back when the Sox come to town though

The Red Sox are heart. The Red Sox are family and we root for them. Any other team can be a "friend," or an acquaintance. I think we all enjoy baseball; friends are good.

Of course, the Yankees are not included in my happy little sentiment ...

Marlins are my NL team, they are mostly hearbreaking, like they almost make the playoffs every year and they find a way to lose to the bad teams like the Nationals and Pirates but beat the good teamslike the Phillies and Cardinals, it wierd. But when they do make it they like to take it all(2/2 in world series since 1993).

They got me into baseball after they beat they Yankees in 03(i got to skip school for their parade ) and they made a trade that introduced me to Red Sox baseball.
